A motorcyclist led authorities on a 60-mile pursuit Monday night that ended when his bike ran out of gas on Interstate 680 just across the Iowa border.
Speeds reportedly reached 150 mph.
The chase started when the 20-year-old Omaha man was clocked driving 93 mph in a 60 mph zone near the Blair Airport.
A trooper tried to pull the motorcycle over, but the driver sped off, traveling into Omaha and then over to Iowa on I-680.
Nebraska State Patrol called off the pursuit before the motorcyclist reached Omaha but maintained contact through the air via a Nebraska State Patrol airplane. The incident lasted about 40 minutes.
The man's bike ran out of gas on I-680 and he was arrested by the Iowa State Patrol on suspicion of speeding, not having valid registration, improper passing, willful reckless driving, flight to avoid arrest and driving on the shoulder.
The man was taken to the Pottawattamie County Jail.
