ASHLAND — Voters overwhelming approved a school bond issue for the Ashland-Greenwood School District during a special election Tuesday.
Unofficial totals show a 419-92 vote in favor of the bond issue. Results will be certified by the Saunders County Election Commissioner later this week.
Superintendent Craig Pease said he was pleased.
Pease said the next step after the results have been certified will be to refine drawings and specifications for the project over the next few months.
"We hope that by September we're starting to begin construction," he said.
Pease estimated the project would be complete by December 2010.
