A Bennington man died after a van-motorcycle crash Thursday evening in southwest Omaha.
According to the Omaha Police Department:
A Ford Econoline van was westbound on Jefferson Street. As the driver turned onto the southbound lanes of 96th Street, a northbound Suzuki GSX-R motorcycle crested a hill and struck the van.
The motorcyclist, identified as Shray Hodges, 29, was taken to the Creighton University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy has been scheduled for Friday morning.
The driver and sole occupant of the van, a 16-year-old girl, was not injured.
The speed of the motorcycle may have contributed to the crash, according to a police press release.
