What: Bank of the West Celebrates America, featuring Grand Funk Railroad, the Guess Who and Night Wing

Rain or shine, the show will go on. In order of appearance, Night Wing, the Guess Who and Grand Funk Railroad will perform starting at 6 p.m. Fireworks will begin at 10 p.m.
If you want to reserve a spot on the lawn, Memorial Park will open at 5 a.m. Friday. Blankets are OK, but tarps are not allowed.
Parking lots at the University of Nebraska at Omaha will open at 4 p.m. for the concert. Limited handicapped parking will be available at the circle drive around the memorial, accessible from Underwood Avenue.
To ease traffic, streets will be one-way beginning at 8 a.m. Friday between Underwood and Western Avenues from Happy Hollow Boulevard to 66th Street; and between Western Avenue and Hamilton Street from 54th to 58th Streets.
The Metropolitan Utilities District will provide free water. Food and drinks will be available for purchase from several on-site vendors.
To benefit the Omaha Food Bank, concert posters and plush bears will be sold for $5 each. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items and toiletries for the Food Bank.
