WASHINGTON — Former Nebraska Lt. Governor Maxine Moul has been named the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development Director for Nebraska, Sen. Ben Nelson, D-Neb., announced Monday.
Acting director of the Nebraska Farm Service Agency Dan Steinkruger also gets to drop “acting” from his title, Nelson announced.
The senator said he recommended both Moul and Steinkruger for their respective positions and was pleased that the agriculture department went along.
“This is very good news for rural Nebraska and our agriculture producers,” Nelson said.
