Judy Radcliff and Tim Abu-Nasr won Fonda-McGuire Awards for outstanding performances of the season at the Omaha Community Playhouse awards night Monday.
Radcliff played Rose in the musical “Gypsy” and Abu-Nasr starred in the title role of the musical “Bat Boy.”
Other awards for lead performances in musicals went to Theresa Sindelar for her portrayal of Meredith Parker in “Bat Boy” and Rob Baker as Henry W. Schlemmer in “The Coconuts.”
Musical supporting-role winners were Kirstin Kluver as Louise and Don Harris as Herbie, both in “Gypsy.” Cathy Hirsch won the female cameo award as June in “Gypsy” and Steve Krambeck won the male cameo award as Rick Taylor/Lorraine in “Bat Boy.”
Awards for leading roles in drama went to Denise Chapman for her performance as Esther in “Intimate Apparel” and Thomas Becker as Juror No. 8 in “Twelve Angry Men.”
Supporting roles in drama went to Lanette Metoyer Moore as Mrs. Dickson in “Intimate Apparel” and Doug Blackburn as Juror No. 3 in “Twelve Angry Men.”
Julie Adams won the award for female cameo in a drama as Mayme in “Intimate Apparel” and Kent Hanon won the male cameo as Juror No. 9 in “Twelve Angry Men.”
Mike McMeekin received the Trustees Award as an outstanding playhouse volunteer and supporter.
The Bill Bailey Debut Award for outstanding first playhouse appearances went to Ashton Taylor as Baby June in “Gypsy” and John Davis as the foreman in “Twelve Angry Men.”
Other awards included the President's Award for leadership (Vernie Jones), Edward Owen Award for support of the playhouse (Interstate Printing Co.) and Dick Boyd Award for career excellence (Dawn Buller-Kirke).
