Get ready to folk out with Conor Oberst and the rest of the Monsters of Folk.
The indie supergroup — including Oberst and Mike Mogis of Bright Eyes, Jim James of My Morning Jacket and M. Ward — will perform at 8 p.m. Oct. 28 at the Holland Performing Arts Center in the middle of a 24-city tour of the United States and Europe.
The Monsters of Folk idea was born a couple of years ago when their groups toured together and the four sat in on one another's live sets. The four recently recorded in Omaha and plan to release an album under that name Sept. 22 through California-based label Shangri-La Music.
Tickets, $47, will be available for sale July 31 at 10 a.m. from www.ticketomaha.com.
The group will donate $1 to nonprofit groups in each city for each ticket sold. According to www.monstersoffolk.com, donations in Omaha will be directed to Octopuses Garden Art Alliance.
