Fortenberry to host hearing on nutrition
LINCOLN (AP) — U.S. Rep. Jeff Fortenberry, R-Neb., will host a field hearing on nutrition next month.
The Aug. 5 hearing is called “Addressing the ‘Health’ in Health Care: Nutrition, Prevention, and Wellness Practices.” It will explore the cost savings and best practices of good nutrition.
Executives with regional and national businesses and the health care industry will testify, as will research scientists.
Fortenberry will be joined by Rep. Joe Baca, D-Calif., in leading the proceedings. Baca is chairman of the House Agriculture Committee’s Subcommittee on Nutrition.
The 10 a.m. hearing will be at Madonna ProActive in Lincoln. It will be open to the public.
