MILFORD, Neb. (AP) — A 10-year-old boy has died in a shooting near the eastern Nebraska town of Milford.
Seward County Attorney Wendy Elston told the Lincoln Journal Star the shooting happened in a park north of town Wednesday afternoon. She said authorities had not concluded whether the shooting was accidental.
Elston said she couldn't confirm the gender of the shooter but that he or she was 13.
Elston and Seward County Sheriff Joe Yocum did not immediately return phone and e-mail messages from The Associated Press.
Milford is 24 miles west of Lincoln.
