Omaha police have arrested a man they say is responsible for a series car thefts and purse snatchings in south and southwest Omaha over the past few weeks.

Authorities still seek one more man in connection with the purse snatchings, said Lt. Darci Tierney.

Seth A. Horstman, 24 was booked on suspicion of robbery, four counts of receiving stolen items, felony flight to avoid arrest, being an accessory to a felony and misdemeanor failure to appear. Authorities have issued a warrant for the arrest of Joseph Oswald, 19, on suspicion of two counts of robbery and one of attempted robbery in connection with the purse snatchings.

During their attempt to arrest Horstman Tuesday at the Howard Johnson Hotel, 72nd and Grover Streets, authorities found and interviewed a woman in the room, Christine L. Perkumas, 25, who was booked on suspicion of two counts of possession of a forged instrument and two outstanding misdemeanor warrants.
