• SEEN: Coach Bo Pelini must have been encouraged by what he saw Friday. Two days removed from a lethargic practice and an angry interview session, Pelini spent more than eight minutes speaking to reporters without the edginess.
• NOT SEEN: Nebraska hasn't released a depth chart. And don't count on one coming this weekend, either. Pelini said lineups won't be set until the middle of next week.
• HEARD: “I think he showed at the end of last year what he's capable of doing. He came in, in great shape, and he's had a great camp. I think Roy's looking to have a breakout year, and I expect that to happen.” — Pelini, sharing his expectations for junior I-back Roy Helu.
• UP NEXT: The Huskers will practice for the 24th time during the preseason today. Most of the time is expected to be spent working on the Florida Atlantic game plan. —Jon Nyatawa
