Five things we learned
• 1. The Blackshirts need to generate more pressure on the quarterback, but this defensive unit looks like it could grow into a salty group.
• 2. The NU offense is in good hands with Zac Lee. He was slightly tentative early but always looked under control and poised.
• 3. Roy Helu is ready for the kind of season that would earn him a spot among the notable backs in NU history.
• 4. The Huskers' depth has improved considerably over last year, to the point that NU can handle some adversity at most positions.
• 5. The youth movement is in full swing. More than a few freshmen, starting with Cody Green and Rex Burkhead, show the kind of ability lacking in Lincoln lately.
Five things we still don't know
• 1. When faced with a different atmosphere, not to mention a better defense, how will Lee handle the dicey situations?
• 2. Will Nebraska have to expand its blitz package to make an opposing quarterback feel uncomfortable?
• 3. What are the Huskers' plans for freshman quarterback Green this fall?
• 4. Will we soon see the same kind of play in a game from Niles Paul that so excited the coaches in practice?
• 5. Can these Huskers mature quickly enough to handle the major tests looming at Virginia Tech and Missouri?
