FIRST QUARTER
Ndamukong Suh: Two plays into the game and the Nebraska nose tackle makes his presence felt, stopping running back Alfred Morris for no gain. The senior also makes plays on each of the Owls' next two possessions.
Alex Henery: The junior takes over the Husker punting duties and records a 43-yarder on his first career kick.
Menelik Holt: With a nifty move, Holt turns a short pass from Zac Lee into a 28-yard touchdown reception for Nebraska. Lee's first career TD pass gives the Huskers a 7-0 lead with 7:41 left in the first quarter.
Jared Crick: The NU defensive tackle keeps Florida Atlantic off the scoreboard, getting his right hand up to block a 46-yard field goal by Ross Gornall with 32 seconds left.
SECOND QUARTER
Zac Lee: The senior goes to Curenski Gilleylen three plays into the second quarter and Nebraska leads 14-0. Lee executes a nice play fake and finds Gilleylen open down the middle on a 51-yard play.
Matt O'Hanlon: NU appears to have Florida Atlantic's next series stopped when O'Hanlon intercepts Jeff VanCamp. It's nullified, however, when Crick is called for roughing the passer.
Ross Gornall: The FAU kicker connects this time on a 21-yard field goal that makes it 14-3 with 8:13 left before halftime.
Rex Burkhead: The freshman I-back debuts on the Huskers' fifth series and runs for 4 yards on first down.
Roy Helu: Nebraska polishes off a 15-play, 82-yard drive when Helu scores on fourth-and-goal from inside the 1 with 51 seconds to go. The Huskers take a 21-3 lead into the break.
THIRD QUARTER
Roy Helu: Nebraska gives the ball to Helu on three of its first four plays of the second half, and he produces runs of 14, 28 and 7 yards. The last of those is a touchdown that makes it 28-3.
Matt O'Hanlon: No penalty this time as the NU safety intercepts Rusty Smith inside the Husker 20 and returns it 18 yards.
Roy Helu: Fire up the highlight reel for this 44-yard TD run. Helu starts left after a zone read handoff, bounces back to the right and scores with 7:26 remaining. Two quick scores, and Florida Atlantic trails 35-3.
Cameron Meredith: The Owls turn it over on another two possessions, the first a fumbled snap that Meredith recovers. The next is a Smith pass intercepted by Prince Amukamara.
Rex Burkhead: Burkhead already knows where the end zone is, pushing the Husker advantage to 42-3 with an 8-yard run on the last play of the third.
FOURTH QUARTER
Ben Cotton: Lee out, Cody Green in with 12:19 remaining. Cotton is the recipient of the freshman's first career completion, a 3-yarder rolling to the right.
Cody Green: Running the zone read on his next series, Green keeps the ball and scampers up the right side for 49 yards on his first career run.
Cody Green: Nebraska has third-and-goal from the 1 when the 6-foot-4, 220-pounder keeps over the left side and scores. It's well in hand with 6:03 left at 49-3.
Howard Schnellenberger: Scary sight for a moment with about five minutes left when Lester Jean of FAU and Rickey Thenarse of NU crash into the Owls' 75-year-old head coach. Schnellenberger pops up and appears OK. — Rich Kaipust
