Carrington's acting credits

Rodney Carrington has appeared in his own sitcom and a feature film.

“Rodney”

A sitcom that sounds pretty true to the comedian’s life, “Rodney” focuses on Rodney Hamilton (Carrington), a guy from Oklahoma looking to quit his job and become a stand-up comedian.

In the show, Rodney gets into sticky, sitcom-y situations with his wife, Trina, two kids and best friend, Barry. The show ran for 22 episodes over two seasons on ABC. Fans can now pick up the first season on DVD.

“Beer for My Horses”

Named after Toby Keith and Willie Nelson’s 2003 country hit, this 2008 comedy stars Keith and Carrington as Rack and Lonnie. Rack, a tough guy, and Lonnie, a dolt, are sheriff’s deputies in Oklahoma who head to Mexico to save Rack’s girlfriend from kidnappers.

Nelson, rocker Ted Nugent and country singer David Allan Coe all make cameos.
