What else is left?

Seems like Robert Langdon is running out of conspiracies and myths to explore.

In “Angels & Demons” and “The Da Vinci Code,” author Dan Brown sent his main character after the Illuminati, the Catholic Church, Knights Templar, the Priory of Sion and the Holy Grail.

But those aren’t the only mysteries and shadowy groups in the world. What myths or conspiracy theories hasn’t Brown tackled yet?

MYTHICAL

Atlantis

An eighth continent that sunk into the ocean, Atlantis is suspected to exist as a utopian underwater civilization.

Fountain of Youth

Explorer Ponce de León searched for the fountain, which gives eternal youth, in Florida. He never found it, but that hasn’t stopped others from looking.

Aliens

Do aliens visit Earth? Do they fly UFOs? Who knows, but maybe they built the pyramids or crash-landed near Roswell, N.M., or abducted humans for study.

The Spear of Destiny

Also known as the Holy Lance, the spear allegedly stabbed Jesus Christ as he hung on the cross. Those in possession of the spear supposedly get mystical powers.

REAL

Apollo 11 moon landing

Could it be? Was the moon landing that millions witnessed on television and photographs faked? Some conspiracy theorists maintain that it was done in a TV studio.

Kennedy assassination

Theories of magic bullets, multiple gunmen and accusations that the Israelis, Cubans, Soviets or the Mafia were behind the assassination of President John F. Kennedy have persisted since that day. The Warren Commission said Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone, but the House Select Committee on Assassinations said there was a conspiracy.

Lincoln-Kennedy connection

Speaking of Kennedy, connections and coincidences have been drawn between his presidency and Abraham Lincoln’s. Both presidents were elected in ’60, both were assassinated, both were succeeded by presidents named Johnson. Weird, right? But some of the details often listed — like Kennedy having a secretary named Lincoln and Lincoln having a secretary named Kennedy — aren’t so certain. For example, there’s no record of a Kennedy who worked as a secretary for Lincoln.

Skull and Bones

One of a few secret societies at Yale University, Skull and Bones has several famous members, including U.S. presidents, Supreme Court justices and Cabinet members. Both candidates in the 2004 election, George W. Bush and John Kerry, were Bonesmen, leading some to suspect that the secret society exerts control over the whole country. Do they really? Well, many Bonesmen hold positions of power, but no one can say for certain if the society really runs things.
