Many authors have made a career (and probably a small fortune) writing books that focus on proving or disproving the theories and facts put forth in Dan Brown’s novels.

Countless books were written to capitalize on readers’ fascination with “The Da Vinci Code,” such as “The Da Vinci Code Decoded” and “Cracking the Da Vinci Code.”

While “The Lost Symbol” hasn’t even been released yet, several “guides” are already available for order from bookstores and Amazon.com. “Decoding the Lost Symbol” by Simon Cox, the guy behind “Cracking the Da Vinci Code,” will be released Nov. 3. “Secrets of the Lost Symbol” by Dan Burstein, who has written several books about “The Da Vinci Code” and “Angels & Demons,” will be released in December.
