Tribal college gets grant

WINNEBAGO, Neb. (AP) — Little Priest Tribal College in eastern Nebraska has received an $85,500 federal grant to buy technology equipment, furniture and a surveillance system.

The college is located on the Winnebago Indian Reservation in northeast Nebraska. The grant comes from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development program.

The college has put up $4,500 toward the effort.

College president Helene Lincoln says implementation of the grant will result in needed improvement to the college’s technology offerings and enhance its facilities.
