Rodgers appointed vice chairman

Chris Rodgers, chairman of the Douglas County Board, was recently appointed as a committee vice chairman with a national organization that represents county government.

Rodgers is serving a one-year term as vice chairman of the justice and public safety steering committee of the National Association of County Officials. The committee, which meets three times a year, helps decide various criminal justice and public safety policies and legislative positions for the organization.

Rodgers, who is serving his second term on the County Board, is joined on the committee by more than 50 county board members from across the country.
