Jordan Berg stopped a two-point conversion attempt in the second overtime as Gretna defeated Beatrice 41-40 in high school football on Friday.
Gretna forced overtime when Logan Henning kicked an 18-yard field goal as regulation time expired to tie the game.
Ross Labenz had 22 carries for 108 yards and a touchdown, and quarterback Bo Shepard was 11 of 16 for 131 yards and two scores for Gretna.
Beatrice’s Jace Bowhay rushed for 181 yards and five touchdowns on 42 carries.

Josh Bebee, who led all rushers with 152 yards on 20 carries, scored the tying touchdown in the fourth quarter for Omaha Christian and added the 2-point conversion run.
Senior Beau Schmidt led Omaha Christian in tackles with nine solos and three assists, and he added an interception. Teammate Ben Deaver added seven unassisted tackles and three assists, including two quarterback sacks.
Drew Schneider led Concordia in rushing with 144 yards on 25 carries, and he also led his team with eight solo tackles and 13 assists.
