Retired Omaha Deputy Police Chief Pitmon Foxall III

Ex-Omaha cop passed over for job

A retired Omaha deputy police chief did not get the top job with the police department in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Pitmon Foxall III was among six finalists for the job, which went to Troy Riggs, assistant police chief with the Louisville Metro Police Department in Louisville, Ky.

Riggs and one other person, Thomas W. Lawrence, a deputy police chief in Dallas, were the final two candidates for the job.

Foxall retired in October 2008 as an Omaha Police Department deputy chief. He joined the department in 1983, after having first served with the police department in Greeley, Colo.
