FRANKLIN, Neb. — The Franklin Museum will hold its annual HarvestFest from 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 17.
Activities will include a costume contest, hayrack rides, face painting and spooky storytelling.
The Pancake Man will entertain with pancake flipping and tricky pancake tossing. Museum helpers will serve pancakes with maple syrup, sausage, orange juice and coffee.
Every family can take home a pumpkin, and there will be Halloween candy for the children.
Historical demonstrations will include hide scraping, hide smoking, wool spinning, Shepherd’s Mill weavers and Noisy Bear’s 1840 general store.
Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 3-12. Children 2 and younger are free.
Proceeds will go to the Franklin Museum’s efforts to collect, preserve and interpret Franklin County’s history.
The museum is at 1309 H Road, east of the intersection of U.S. Highway 136 and Nebraska Highway 10.
