    FOOTBALL

    Five things

    FIVE THINGS WE LEARNED

    1

Zac Lee has impressive moxie. Things couldn't have gone worse through three quarters, but he found a way to make plays late.

    2

Prince Amukamara might be as athletic as any Husker defensive back in some time. He led the team with nine tackles.

    3

All that offseason talk about an improving Niles Paul turned out to carry weight. He had two game-changing touchdown catches.

    4

Nebraska doesn't have to rely on Roy Helu to win. Forty-one of his 88 rushing yards came on one fourth quarter run.

    5

Rain, when falling at a constant rate, can indeed impact a game. The football did some crazy things Thursday night.

FIVE THINGS WE STILL DON'T KNOW

    1

Does Nebraska have a capable long snapper? Freshman P.J. Mangieri struggled mightily and nearly cost the Huskers a game.

    2

Will Ndamukong Suh ever have an off-day? He was again disruptive, forcing a fumble, intercepting a pass and recording six tackles.

    3

Will the penalty problems linger like last year? The Huskers were flagged 12 times Thursday night.

    4

When will the defense begin capitalizing on all its opportunities? Nebraska forced three turnovers, but should have finished with more.

    5

What impact will this kind of win have on the rest of the season? The Huskers seized early control of what's perceived to be a three-team race in the North.
