What's the latest?

The World-Herald has been following Omahans Aaron and Tina Moore and their quadruplets since shortly after the babies’ births. Here’s another update, as Grace, Joseph, Jack and Noah pass 8 months old and the family routine evolves.

MIlestones

Born: Jan. 20 at Methodist Hospital

Weights at birth: Jack Robert, 2 pounds, 14 ounces; Joseph Jon, 2 pounds, 11 ounces; Grace Janice Elayne, 2 pounds, 10 ounces; Noah Michael, 1 pound, 14 ounces

Current weight: Joseph, 21 pounds; Jack, 18 pounds; Grace, 16 pounds; Noah, 14 pounds

Came home from Children’s Hospital & Medical Center neonatal intensive care unit: Joseph on March 12; Grace, March 26; Jack and Noah, April 4

Jack’s surgery to put in shunt: March 6

Jack’s and Noah’s hernia surgery: July 16

First road trip: To Elgin, Neb., for a family reunion over the Fourth of July weekend

Grandparents: Rich and Mimi Moore and Gary and Janice Schrage, all of Sloan, Iowa

First ate cereal: At 6 months old

First ate vegetables (baby food): At 7 months old

First ate fruit (baby food): At 8 months old

Favorite foods: Applesauce and squash

Movement: Grace and Joseph sit up on their own; Jack and Noah are working on it. Grace is trying to crawl; she scoots on her stomach when she’s in her crib. All can stand when someone holds their hands.

First started sleeping through the night (11 hours): At 6 months old

Baptisms: First baptized in the NICU at Children’s Hospital & Medical Center. Service at Sts. Peter and Paul Church on Sept. 27 was for family and friends. Grace wore a baptismal gown, and the boys were dressed in their Sunday best. Each child had a set of godparents.
