Nebraska’s other quintuplets

Three boys and two girls were the first set of quintuplets to be delivered alive in Nebraska.

— Born: July 7, 1998, nearly two months premature, at the Nebraska Medical Center

— Parents: Karla and Jeff Jansen, then of Oakland, Neb., now living in Omaha

— Names: Miranda, Elijah, Nick, Carter and Taylor

— Weight: Ranged in size from 2 pounds, 5 ounces, to 3 pounds, 12 ounces. Together, they weighed only 15 pounds.

— Today: The quintuplets are 11 years old and in the sixth grade at Picotte Elementary in Omaha.
