Texas Tech, with a 45-point lead over Kansas State and less than five minutes to go in last week's game, threw a 7-yard touchdown pass to make it 66-14.
Did KSU coach Bill Snyder have any quarrel with Red Raiders coach Mike Leach over that?
“I didn't,'' Snyder said. “I was more concerned with how we were playing, or how we weren't playing, than anything else.
“That's the nature of the game, that's the system. I certainly didn't take it personal.''
Snyder said he realized Tech was using a backup quarterback at the time, and that the Tech staff wanted that player to throw the ball in live conditions.
Earlier this season, Texas Tech had a 14-point lead on winless New Mexico in the final seconds and got the ball at the opponent's 1-yard line. Instead of taking a knee, Tech ran for a touchdown as time expired.
