Nebraska will take on Iowa State this weekend as an unranked team, the first time the Huskers haven't been included in the Top 25 polls all season.
Apparently, Saturday's 31-10 blowout loss at home to Texas Tech caught the attention of voters.
Nebraska, ranked 15th and 17th before the game, is now just barely squeaking into the top 30. The Huskers aren't ranked in either of the polls, which were released today.
The Huskers tallied 52 votes in the latest Associated Press poll, ranking behind No. 25 Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Mississippi and South Florida. The coaches voted No. 25 Mississippi, Oklahoma and South Florida ahead of Nebraska.
Also of interest in the rankings, Alabama overtook Florida for the No. 1 spot in the Associated Press poll. The Crimson Tide received 39 of the 59 first-place votes.
Florida's still ranked No. 1 by the coaches.
Nebraska plays Iowa State at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Memorial Stadium.
