A Douglas County man with underlying health problems and the H1N1 flu died Wednesday, county health officials announced.
The man, who suffered from congestive heart failure and diabetes, had been hospitalized for several weeks prior to his death, according to the Douglas County Health Department.
He was in his 30s. State law prohibited the Health Department from releasing further information on him. The county press release did not specifically say he died from the virus.
An H1N1 vaccine is available in Douglas County. Nearly 15,000 doses have been distributed.
State health officials have reported three other deaths in Nebraska connected with the flu strain, according to the Associated Press. All suffered from underlying medical conditions.
