A bicyclist was taken to a hospital in serious condition this morning after being hit by a car on Dodge Street.
An accident investigator said it appeared the bicyclist was trying to cut across Dodge just west of Happy Hollow Boulevard and pulled out in front of a car. The bicyclist was traveling south and was hit by a car driving west on Dodge.
The bicyclist, a man thought to be in his 40s or 50s, was taken to Nebraska Medical Center with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
The driver was cited for not having a registration. Authorities haven't yet decided if the bicyclist will be cited.
