LINCOLN (AP) -- Lincoln police have arrested a 23-year-old man on suspicion of manslaughter for his friend's death.
Police say Chance Paap told them he fatally shot his 28-year-old friend early Saturday morning while handling a handgun. Paap then panicked and fled the state. He returned to Lincoln on Tuesday and reported the death to police.
The victim's body was found Tuesday in a closet at Paap's central Lincoln home.
Police haven't released the name of the victim.
