An early morning fire damaged part of a vacant north Omaha home Wednesday. No one was injured fighting the fire.
A large group of fire and rescue personnel were called to the intersection of 17th and Pratt Streets about 1 a.m., where firefighters discovered flames and smoke shooting from the back of a house at 3710 N. 17th St.
Fire crews extinguished the blaze quickly. The fire appears to have started in a bedroom of the house, which is being renovated, fire officials said. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
