    NU wins exhibition

    9:15 p.m.: Nebraska won its exhibition basketball opener Friday night, pulling away in the second half for an 86-66 victory over Division II Arkansas-Fort Smith.

    The Huskers led 43-39 after a first half with eight ties and six lead changes.

    Fort Smith closed to 47-45 early in the second half before NU took off.

    Senior Ryan Anderson led NU with 18 points. Freshman Christian Standhardinger added 17 points and seven rebounds, while freshman Jorge Brian Diaz had 11 points and 10 rebounds.
