    QB Haluska helps Carroll earn win

    CARROLL, Iowa — Blake Haluska was 10-for-19 passing for 162 yards and a touchdown, and he added two rushing touchdowns on Friday as Carroll defeated Clear Lake 28-14 to net its first state semifinal appearance in school history.

    Jordan Thelen had 13 carries for 35 yards and a touchdown and Kasey Kasperbauer added 52 yards receiving and two touchdowns for the Tigers, who will face 12-0 Harlan in the Class 3-A semifinals.
