    Game Replay

    WHAT WAS THAT?

Oklahoma ran a play in the final minute that was wiped off the clock because of miscommunication between the replay booth and officials on the field. OU's Ryan Broyles returned an Alex Henery punt 35 yards to the NU 49-yard line. Quarterback Landry Jones then fired incomplete before play was stopped to review the punt return. Replays confirmed that Broyles did not step out of bounds on the return, but Jones' first-down throw was erased. He got two more chances — the last intercepted by Matt O'Hanlon with 27 seconds to play.

    PECULIAR PLAY

Oklahoma's late drive in the fourth quarter stayed alive on a holding call whistled against NU safety P.J. Smith, who was not covering the intended receiver. No matter. The flag flew as Landry Jones' pass sailed wide and out of bounds on third and 10 from the NU 49-yard line. The officials appeared to signal pass interference but converged and got it right. Oklahoma got a first down at the Nebraska 39. Linebacker Phillip Dillard then intercepted Jones on fourth and 4.

    RAVE REVIEW

The whole defense. Split it between Phillip Dillard for his burst through the line on a sack and his fourth-quarter interception; Prince Amukamara for his interception and return to the 1-yard line; Matt O'Hanlon for his three picks, including the game-clincher; Ndamukong Suh for his relentless rush and the rest of the NU line for keeping Oklahoma in check on the ground to make the Sooners a one-dimensional offensive unit. All told, the Blackshirts answered the challenge in a big way Saturday night.

    NOTICED

The Sooners' second-to-final possession of the first half began with NU defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh notably absent. On second and 9, DeMarco Murray ran straight up the middle for a gain of 14 yards — the Sooners' longest rushing play of the night. On cue, Suh returned immediately and the Blackshirts pushed Oklahoma 11 yards in reverse to force a punt.
