Donor weekend: National Donor Sabbath Weekend will be observed Nov. 13-15. Religious leaders of all denominations are asked to talk to their congregations about their faith’s support of organ and tissue donation and to encourage their members to register as donors. The Nebraska Organ and Tissue Donor Coalition will assist denominations that seek help. Common ground: “Peace Through Reconciliation: Our Search for Common Ground” is the theme for a Friday program at the Servite Center of Compassion, 7400 Military Ave. The Rev. Hope conference: Hope International Services will hold its annual conference next Friday and Saturday at the Howard Johnson Riverside Inn in Grand Island, Neb. Dr. Kathy Bliese Walk, founder and executive director, will be among the speakers. Hope International Services has been sending missionaries and mission teams around the world for 22 years. Bliese Walk has ministered in Mexico, Canada, Europe, Asia and Africa. Sessions will begin Friday at 7 p.m. and run Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free. Worship seminar: Tom Kraeuter will lead a seminar on worship Nov. 14 at Highland Park Evangelical Free Church in Columbus, Neb. The seminar will run from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Advance registration is $35 per person; group rates are available. Register online at www.worshipseminar.com.

Diabetes prayer day: Nov. 15 has been designated Prayer Day for the Cure of Diabetes. Prayers are sought in the home, neighborhood, Bible study groups and places of worship. Participants are asked to call on God to give researchers the skill and knowledge to find ways to cure and prevent the disease. For more information, contact Donna Holmquist at dhlmqst@cox.net.

Musical performance: Christian artist Fran McKendree will perform for Omaha area youths and their families at 4 p.m. Sunday at St. Martha Episcopal Church, 780 Pinnacle Drive in Papillion. It is open to the public. Free-will donations will be accepted.
