Common ground: “Peace Through Reconciliation: Our Search for Common Ground” is the theme for a Friday program at the Servite Center of Compassion, 7400 Military Ave. The Rev. Hope conference: Hope International Services will hold its annual conference next Friday and Saturday at the Howard Johnson Riverside Inn in Grand Island, Neb. Dr. Kathy Bliese Walk, founder and executive director, will be among the speakers. Hope International Services has been sending missionaries and mission teams around the world for 22 years. Bliese Walk has ministered in Mexico, Canada, Europe, Asia and Africa. Sessions will begin Friday at 7 p.m. and run Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free. Diabetes prayer day: Nov. 15 has been designated Prayer Day for the Cure of Diabetes. Prayers are sought in the home, neighborhood, Bible study groups and places of worship. Musical performance: Christian artist Fran McKendree will perform for Omaha area youths and their families at 4 p.m. Sunday at St. Martha Episcopal Church, 780 Pinnacle Drive in Papillion. It is open to the public. Free-will donations will be accepted.
