Learn the art of gingerbread houses

The Bluffs Arts Council has two ways for you and your family to learn to make a gingerbread creation for the holiday season.

Parents of children younger than 13 do not have to take the class but must stay with their children during it. The cost is $5.

The advanced class will show how to assemble and decorate a gingerbread house and demonstrate tips and techniques for creating a house from scratch. Participants will receive recipes for gingerbread and icing plus templates for baking. The class is for ages 13 to adult, and the cost is $20.

Both classes will run from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Council Bluffs Community Hall, 205 S. Main St.
