Midtown Crossing's fitness center opens

Prairie Life Fitness on Monday became the latest business to open at Midtown Crossing at Turner Park.

Former Mayor Mike Fahey and members of the local business community were on hand for a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The 31,000-square-foot facility includes a group fitness studio, a cycling studio, rooms for massage, child care and weight training, a mind/body studio, an in-house cafe, an indoor track, and other amenities.

The fitness center is the 10th in four states for Prairie Life.

“It's very special for us to be part of this development,” said company President Dean Rasmussen.

When the business opened its doors at 5 a.m. Monday, a number of people were on hand to use the facility, Rasmussen said. “It was real exciting.” Contact the writer:
