Dundee is one of 11 elementary schools in the Omaha district that received funding from the Sherwood Foundation, formerly the Susan A. Buffett Foundation, this fall for new playground equipment. Schools were identified by the district as having the greatest need for a playground update. In all, the foundation gave $1.175 million in grants and pledged additional matching funds. All playgrounds will be in place by next fall. Other schools getting playground updates are:
