No change in volume for metalcore group

Worry not, metalcore fans. Despite the departure of vocalist/screamer Nick Barham, Attack Attack! is moving on with its screamo metal music. Keyboard player Caleb Shomo has stepped forward to fill in on all that yelling. When not shredding on their guitars or shouting into the mike, the band also does a great electro-synth cover of Katy Perry’s “I Kissed a Girl.”

Attack Attack! performs with I Set My Friend On Fire, Miss May I, Our Last Night and the Color Morale at 7 p.m. Saturday at Sokol Underground. Tickets, $13 in advance and $15 the day of the show, are available at www.etix.com.
