LINCOLN (AP) - A former medical group manager who fraudulently applied for a loan has been given 21 months in prison and ordered to repay more than $200,000 to TierOne Bank.
U.S. District Judge Richard Kopf on Thursday also sentenced Retha Hudkins to five years of supervised release.
Authorities say Hudkins, 52, admitted in a plea deal that she had falsified signatures of two doctors to take out a $25,000 loan in 2005 while working for South Lincoln Medical Group.
She also admitted using a business credit card to make more than $510 in purchases at a department store.
Kopf said he could not decide on the amount Hudkins should repay her former employers, but he suggested they were free to pursue such restitution in state civil court.
