A 61-year-old Omaha man on house arrest died Thursday morning at his home, according to authorities from the Douglas County Department of Corrections.

A family member found Clarence Vaughn unresponsive about 9:15 a.m. Vaughn had been serving a 45-day sentence for second-offense driving under the influence of alcohol.

A rescue squad was called and he was taken to Immanuel Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 10 a.m.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation, as required by state law.
