LINCOLN (AP) — The Nebraska State Patrol is identifying a 38-year-old semitrailer driver from Manitoba, Canada, as the person killed in a three-vehicle crash on a southeast Nebraska highway.
The patrol says Vladymyr Kuziv died at the scene of Thursday’s crash near Bruning.
A propane tanker was eastbound on state Highway 4 when it tried to cross the northbound lane of U.S. Highway 81. Kuziv was southbound and struck the tanker. A southbound car then hit his semitrailer.
The woman in the car, 41-year-old Kimberly Wills of St. Edward, has been hospitalized with serious injuries. The driver of the tanker, Joel Voss, 29, of Bruning, was not injured.
Troopers reported heavy fog and low visibility in the area at the time of the crash. An investigation continues.
