LINCOLN — Three people have been arrested and 141 pounds of marijuana seized in separate incidents along Interstate 80 in Nebraska.
The Nebraska State Patrol said two women were arrested after a trooper stopped their vehicle a little before 11 a.m. Thursday near the Pleasant Dale exit west of Lincoln.
The patrol said the trooper detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A subsequent search turned up 137 pounds of pot divided among three suitcases in the vehicle’s cargo area.
On Wednesday, a trooper stopped a sport utility vehicle near the Lincoln Airport exit. The driver was arrested after a search of the SUV revealed 4 pounds of marijuana divided into three packages in a storage compartment.
