HEBRON — Hebron will continue to run its own electrical system and will not turn over the operation to the Nebraska Public Power District.
Members of the Hebron City Council decided not to transfer responsibility for maintenance and operation of the city’s electrical system from city employees to NPPD.
Mayor Randy Hergott first looked into the possibility of a contract with NPPD following an August meeting.
NPPD estimated it would cost Hebron around $10,000 per month for the service. — AP
