Ralston will celebrate Holiday Magic on Nov. 29.
The annual community celebration will be held at Independence Square, 77th and Main Streets, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Santa will arrive on a firetruck. There will be activities for kids, singing and dancing, refreshments and more. It all culminates in the lighting of the city tree.
Santa will ride a firetruck through Ralston for about 45 minutes before the celebration begins. His final stop, at the gazebo in Independence Square, where he will meet children, marks the start of the festivities.
Among the other outdoor highlights: a live reindeer display, horse and carriage rides and visits with Konig, the Ralston Police Department’s K-9 officer.
Popcorn, cookies, hot chocolate and candy canes also will be available.
Inside City Hall, on the lower level in the Centennial Room, these activities will be offered: caricature drawings by Frank Costanzo; face painting by Ralston High School art students; holiday activities and coloring; and balloon animals by Poppin’ Penelope.
Additional activities include: Frank and Velma Johnson Archive Museum open house, 5615 Woodlawn Ave., from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.; Baright Public Library “Make & Take Craft” as well as “Holiday Singers” from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.; and the Ralston Volunteer Fire Department Chili Feed, 7629 Park Drive, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
