Women’s Soccer: Warriors fall at nationals

LEBANON, Ill. — McKendree (Ill.) University defeated Midland Lutheran College 1-0 Saturday in the NAIA women’s soccer national championship opening round.

McKendree’s Sarah Eckelkamp scored the lone goal of the game in 56th minute. Liz Yanko stopped all four Warrior shots to get the shutout in goal for McKendree.

Sorina Mychackavane, a senior from Beatrice, stopped six shots in goal for the Warriors (16-4-1).
