A 20-year-old Omaha man was shot in the leg early Sunday by an off-duty police officer working security at a mid-town bar.

Bettin said the officers were working as off-duty security at Cheater's Bar at 3929 Farnam St. when one of them discharged his firearm at a vehicle about 12:15 a.m. The vehicle then fled the scene.
