Husker defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh was named a finalist for the Outland Trophy on Monday.

    Honors keep coming for Suh

The honors continue to accumulate for Ndamukong Suh.

Nebraska's senior defensive tackle was named a finalist for the Outland Trophy on Monday, presented annually to the nation's top interior lineman. He joins offensive tackle Russell Okung of Oklahoma State and offensive guard Mike Iupati of Idaho.

The Outland winner will be named Dec. 10 at the college football awards show in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., and presented Jan. 14 in Omaha.

Nebraska players have won a nation-best eight Outland Trophies, most recently Aaron Taylor in 1997.

Additionally, Suh is a finalist for the Lombardi Award, the Bednarik Award and Nagurski Trophy.

He was also named Monday as the Lott Trophy impact player of the week after his nine-tackle effort Saturday in the Huskers' 17-3 win against Kansas State. It marked the third time he has won it this year, the most by one player in the six-year history of the award.
