After rainy weather tonight and Tuesday, conditions should clear up in the Midlands for a relatively sunny holiday weekend.
Rain chances in the Omaha metro area are supposed to increase after noon today -- reaching 100 percent tonight and 90 percent on Tuesday.
A total of an inch or more of rain is possible by the time the storm moves out Tuesday night, according to the National Weather Service.
The system that is bringing rain to Omaha is sweeping in from the north and heading across the northeastern portion of the U.S., which means rain or snow over the holiday in the Northeast.
After Tuesday's dreary day, skies should be partly to mostly sunny and highs generally will be in the 40s through Sunday in the metro area. A couple of those days could be breezy.
