Tests find meth in 2-year-old

WORLD-HERALD NEWS SERVICE

MADISON -- A mother will face a felony child abuse charge after her 2-year-old daughter tested positive for methamphetamine exposure.

Authorities said a 32-year-old Norfolk mother intially denied using drugs and exposing her children to them. But hair samples taken from her children found that her 2-year-old had been exposed to meth. Tests on another child, 5, did not test positive.

The mother tested positive for meth and amphetamine ingestion, authorities said.

Her children were removed and placed into the custody of the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services.
