Man sentenced in wife’s death

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (AP) — A Sioux City man accused of killing his wife during an argument has been sentenced to up to 25 years in prison.

As part of an agreement with prosecutors, Timothy Sohler pleaded guilty last month to reduced charges of attempted murder and willful injury causing serious injury. He was sentenced on Monday in Woodbury County District Court.

Sohler had been charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of his wife, Susan, in their home on Dec. 22, 2008.
